Getting Ready For Art Car Fest 08

I changed my oil and filter on my engine and transmission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow that was scary and exciting all at the same time. Never did my transmission before, started Saturday and had to get a replacement seal because they gave me the wrong one. Last Saturday I also installed my purple back seat covers and I also got my orange shag fuzzy seat covers in today, and are in the dryer to get the excess lint off. No all I need is to finish the hubcaps and the odd missing pen here and there and I am done. I also found a damaged fan belt which means I need to take car of that as soon as I can. The Nice thing about my 1981 Mercedes 300SD is that once you get over the initial panic its relatively easy to fix things once I talk to enough people and get all the info I need on the forums. A nice web site I found is Mercedesource which has parts and specific booklets on how to fix things. Very nice I think my next project will be the fan belts.

Fan Belts Need Replacing… Oh No!!!!!!!!!!

Pen Car Rear Purple Seat Covers

Pen Guy Fridge Magnets for the Ex-terns

Here is Mara, Elise and Jeff three of the four really neat ex-terns, long story but when they left I made them some Pen Guy fridge magnets as a going away present. I glued a pen on a toy car, with a magnet glued underneath it. Only four of these are in existence today which will be worth something one day, long after I am gone, I hope.

Pen Covered Ugly Mailbox

The Ugly Mailbox blog has recently become one of my favorite web sites. Its down right addictive and I don’t know why. Maybe it’s a way to know my mail box isn’t as bad as those “other” guys. But why on earth would I cover my mail box in pens? It could be a way to prove I can “out ugly” the best of them. If I can’t win the prettiest mailbox, maybe I can win the ugly mailbox instead, plus now I have an excess of pens collected and a bit of free time to think of knew surfaces to adhere this wonderful invention we call the pen.

Pen Gourd Christmas Ornament

Pen Gourd Christmas Ornament
OK, I am pretty much covered the Mercedes pens so I decided to take a break in October. But I just couldn’t stay away from gluing pens all over an apple gourd. The town I live in has an annual Christmas tree lighting, with home made ornaments a week before thanksgiving. We decorated the gourd two weeks ago and I showed up with a bag-o-pens and a tube of silicone. This is the first of many non car objects I plan to glue pens to and I am currently working on my mail box and a house door, ugly I know. If any of you have any ideas for other things covered in pens let me know.

Pen Guy Hard Hat 2.0

Pen Guy Hard Hat 2.0 Made from Gel Pens
I just finished the new Pen Guy Hard Hat 2.0. Now that I can bend Gel Pens with my (mind, I wish) heat gun I can do any curved surface. The corners of my bumbers need some pens, which I will get to in the next 14 days. I also have three more door panels to go.
