Mozambique Pens Glued to Mercedes Pens

I finally found a nice spot for the pens donated by the the boys from the Mozambique Orphanage. I had to remove a bunch of old and tired pens. I took the tape off and re-wrote the names directly on the markers. Just in time beacuse Saturday the 28th I will driving in the Sebastopol Apple Blossom Parade with the newly formed “Sonoma County Art Cars”. The parade starts at 10:00 am. Again thank you boys for the pens!!!

I am in the process of putting together my first “Pen Guy” show, that will be posted on “you tube” and directly linked to this site. My goal is to produce a by-monthly show about the mercedes pens and all things related, pens, art ars, how to, q&a, and featured pen of the week. let me know if you have any suggestions or send me a cool pen that you think might be a great addition to the car.

Pens from Mozambique Orphanage Arrive!!!

Pens from Orphanage in Mozambique

Thank you boys for the great collection of pens!!! Now I have to figure out where to put them all. I think I will have to put them inside the Mercedes Pens so the names don’t get faded in the sun this summer. Stay tuned for more updates.

Orphanage in Mozambique Donate Pens For Mercedes Pens

A couple of months ago I got this harebrained idea to send pens over to Africa, why, because it sounded like a great idea. The amazing part is that I run into my friend Justin Fox who happens to support a Heidi Baker orphanage in Africa. Laura Anderson is volunteer missionary who has spent the last four years living and working with 45 boys, ages 5-11,in a children’s center in Maputo, Mozambique!

After a few emails, Laura sends me a picture of a bunch of happy boys holding up their donated pens to be glued to the Mercedes Pens. So I rushed down to the post office on my lunch and sent about 100 brand “new” pens to arrive in South Africa in about 4 weeks, after all I did promise to send pens.

When the pens arrive, I will find a place for them on the Mercedes Pens.
Take a picture of them and send it back so the boys can see their pens proudly displayed on the Pen Car. I don’t know who is more excited about it, the boys or me!!!

Someone once said “That small things done with great love, changes the world”
I believe that with all my heart, and that is why I continue to work and drive this wacky car called the “Mercedes Pens”.
