I drove my Mercedes Pens Art Car to the Sacramento Auto Show last night to be a part of the Traveling Art Show along with 8 other art cars. The event is held at the the Cal Expo starting today Nov 6-9 2008. The amazing part is that we are in the main hall next to the brand new 2009 Ford models parked in doors on really nice carpet. My car leaks oil so I had to ask for an oil pan which ended up being a sheet of plastic covered by a small section of carpet, fancy. I was able to refinish the hood with brand new pens the night before in the cold, but I did it. I also repaired the faulty T-Stat and a few of the coolant hoses that were leaking so my car did not overheat on the way there. I will be able to pick my car up this Sunday and until then I have to drive my wife’s “mundaine” town and country minivan, but I will survive.
Pen Guy Visits Mark West Elementary

Last Tuesday I gave a talk about the Mercedes Pens at Mark West Elementary School here in Santa Rosa California, for Earth Day. After the classroom visit the kids came out to see the car and ask more questions about it. I was only scheduled to visit one class but while I was there, word spread and I ended up showing the car to three more classes. That was a blast, and luckily the weather held out and did not rain during my visit.
The first grade teacher who invited me over, had this to say about it.
“Costas!!We loooooooooooved it!! Your presentation was fantastic! Nancy could not stop talking about how engaging, funny, and personable you are. We can’t decide who liked the experience more – the kids or us! Thanks so much for coming out and sharing your time, yourself, and your amazing project with us. We all loved it!

This year I will be attending Maker Faire 08 on May 4th and 5th of 2008 in San Mateo California. I also go my new web cam so I can begin to produce my weekly Pen Guy Show I’ve wanted to do for sometime now. I’ll be talking about all kinds of stuff, cool pens, events, positive messages that will hopefully encourage you to go out and follow your dreams.
K class of 2018 donates a ton of pens
I got a call from Janie a teacher from a local elementary school were I had dropped of some flyers about donating old pens. She and her K classes came through with two fully stuffed ziplog bags with pens. I also got the opportunity to drive my car over and have the kids check out the car. Friday Oct 20,2006
